200 acres of City center land. Development costs US$1,790,000,000
The ANIMATION HALL OF FAME GROUP (“AHOFG”) is a profit based commercial enterprise with purpose to provide and develop a multi-use commercial complex in the heart of the entertainment corridor of the Orlando, Florida, known as the “Theme Park Capital of the World.”
The scope of this, for profit commercial venture, is in part to attract attendance to the AHOF, and to create a source and an ongoing endowment fund for the operations of the facility. The AHOFG will provide the land and building campus to the AHOF, free and clear and will take a tax deduction for that gift. The land chosen (shown later) and the commercial ventures, will attract not only the local population but a portion of the 50,000,000 visitors who support Orlando, each year.
The ANIMATION HALL OF FAME (“AHOF”) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that exists to educate visitors, fans and scholars from around the world, concerning the history and continuing significance of animation and the multi-billion dollar industry. Its mission will be accomplished through the operation of a world-class museum and venue that collects, preserves, exhibits and interprets the animation art form and through its library and archives, as well as its educational programs. The AHOF is a unique, one of a kind program with purpose to find the works of pioneers of the animation industry and to honor those creators and participants who made animation the social and economic success that it is today.
The project will provide full time employment for more than 1,000 persons on the campus, and untold thousands of additional jobs will be supported by the support companies, manufacturers and services that will fulfill the aims of the project.
